RENOLIN PG
Fully- Synthetic industrial gear and general lubricating oils based on polyalkalene glycol
Description
The importance of polyalkalene glycol-based gear and general lubricating oils is steadily increasing. The raw materials used for the production of polyglycols are crude oil and natural gas. If these are thermally de-composed and then synthesized, polymers of various chain lengths are formed. Different chain lengths then form the basis of different viscosities. Polyglycols created by such synthesis all have a uniform structure.
Application
RENOLIN PG gear oils are recommended for highly stressed crown, bevel, planetary and worm drive gears. Polyglycol- based gear oils offer significant advantages over mineral oils when a lot of sliding friction occurs in gearboxes and lowers oil temperatures that in turn extend oil change intervals.
RENOLIN PG oils can be used at continuous temperatures of about 180°C and even above for short periods.
The RENOLIN PG series of products can also be used as general lubricating oils for technical gas (methane, ethane, butane) compressors.
RENOLIN PG oils are NOT compatible with mineral oils. Do not mix RENOLIN PG products with mineral oils.
RENOLIN PG products are water miscible / partly water miscible.
Advantages / Benefits
- High viscosity index (VI), excellent shear stability, very good viscosity-temperature behavior
- High protection against wear
- Good EP characteristics
- Very low coefficient of friction
- Excellent oxidation stability and ageing resistance
- Excellent corrosion protection
- Low solubility of gaseous hydrocarbons (low drop in viscosity)
- Good air separation, low foaming
Specifications
RENOLIN PG oils meet and in many cases exceed the requirements
- DIN 51 517-3: CLP-PG
- ISO 6743-6: CKC
- Approved by FLENDER, Germany
- Approved by other important gear manufacturers
